IBA Karachi and ASA collaborate to empower underprivileged college students

The Institute of Enterprise Administration (IBA), Karachi and ASA Microfinance Financial institution (Pakistan) Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the creation of an endowment fund of PKR 10 million to assist the training of scholars from marginalized areas.

CEO, ASA Microfinance Financial institution, Mr. Saeed Uddin Khan, and Government Director IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective establishments. Representatives from ASA MFB included Deputy CEO, Mr. Tasawar Hussain, and Social Efficiency Supervisor, Mr. Irfan Hyder. The IBA was represented by Director Company Relations and Useful resource Mobilization, Ms. Malahat Awan, Director Finance, Mr. Moeid Sultan and Director NTHP, Mr. Junaid Alam Khan.

On the event, Mr. Khan stated, “We’re working with ladies on the grass-root degree, typically uncared for by the massive industrial banks, to allow and equip them with the assets to arrange small companies and drive themselves out of poverty. We discover IBA engaged on related strains by reaching the younger proficient college students in far-flung areas and meting out high quality training to uplift their socio-economic situation. We’re delighted to be a part of this endeavor”.

Dr. Zaidi thanked ASA Microfinance Financial institution for creating an endowment fund and serving to IBA in its mission of inclusivity and promotion of training. Later, Mr. Khan offered a cheque to Dr. Zaidi.
